Description

Sheriff: Where'd you get that, Albert? Are you going to stick it outside to replace the tatty old Wooden Injun that's been there since Noah? Albert: Not guilty, Sheriff - it just pushed the door open and walked in. Sheriff: It did, did it? Nonsense. Albert: And it can talk. Says its name is Maria. Sheriff: Maybe there's a dwarf inside making it work. Maria: Not at all, Sheriff. I am a completely independant mechanism, and capable of reasoning. Sheriff: Well, I'm damned! Maria: I wish to find work. Sheriff: Any good with a gun, then? Maria: I have no desire to injure anyone. Albert: She could go and help in the Saloon. Sheriff: Needs to be bullet-proof, then. Some of those customers get trigger-happy when they're full of whiskey. Maria: Projectiles will bounce off, Sheriff. Lead bullets, though propelled with great force, will flatten and drop to the floor. Albert: Well, Sheriff, if you're on your way for your evening glass, - take her along and see what Miss Kitty thinks. I think I'll call it a day and come with you.
