I take it this is some kind of park, or dam...I love the terraced stone and the white crests of water...and---real contrast---that swath of clear reflective water in the right half. And the birds are lined up along the edge of those terraced stones: Great sight. (Plus a bird in flight w/ a great reflection underneath it: real contrasts here.) I guess birds really like water falls, as they're all bunched up along the ridge...they're such graceful creatures. Such interesting formations...real beauty here, Richard.

yes it is a lake in a park located in Dallas. it has no gates, only a dam. thanks for your comments Mark. they mean a lot to me

the lake is a partial reservoir for the city water supply. there is lots of trash especially after heavy rains washing trash into a creek. it ends up on the shores. the city does not allow any motorized boats. only sail boats and rowing boats

I have a Dam like that close to here. It's never had much water though. The Architecture of this type of Dam is neat though. The one near us was used in a 'Breaking Bad" episode.
