Description
Before there was Conan, there was Kull. A red-hand Barbarian from savage Atlantis, Kull became King of Valusia by killing the mad King Borna. Howard's Kull stories never sold well, till he re-worked the character into Conan. In one story Howard established that the Cimmerians were the descendants of ancient Atlantans and that Kull was likely a direct ancestor of Conan himself.

Fantastic image! Kull was one of the first "barbarian" fantasy characters... I think he was just too far ahead of his time.
