Well done, the shadow of the bird in the window onto the floor is cool. She sure is stuck in a dreary cell, poor girl.

Nice work.... Like a modern take on the Welsh legend of Princess Branwyn who was imprisioned by the King of Ireland and sent a bird to ask for her brother to come and rescue her.

I don't know what to think about this scene, Steve......it's an excellent piece of artwork.....but it's also sad. It makes me feel sad, just looking at it. It must be soooo cold and dark and dreary in that cell.......I feel sorry for that poor girl.....it makes me wonder why she is there, and who put her there.......

Wonderful dramatic scene, Steve. I'm not certain how to interpret the shadow of the large bird--is there actually a bird off scene or is it her desire to be a bird that can escape and fly away.

Beautiful rendering !!

Take good care of yourself, I don't know if I'll be able to go on Renderosity for the next few weeks. I'm leaving next Saturday, a bit like going to Lourdes and hoping for a miracle...

I see some commenters find this to be very sad---and it is. But, of course, you post every emotion there is, so sadness must be included. It's sad and mysterious, and you captured your title extremely well. The woman actually looks tired and pondering as much as sad, like she just woke up and is coming-to....She wears gray, which suits her cell colors. We think she's imprisoned for something she didn't do (from your title), and you captured the cell really well, Steve, with deep darkness, and bars, and that dark brooding sky, and an exposed pipe and prison bed...And "February 2019"---I wonder if that's an important month...You created a brooding oppressive feeling, and you couldn't have done it better. You've always been a master with dark light, and this is a perfect example. And I do see the crow, but barb's comment is probably because we wonder if the crow has some deep message or significance. It is ominous---but maybe it's a messenger. I'd be listening to it if I were there. This is brilliantly done, steve. Bravo.

Excellent work Steve! I myself in the past have created moody scenes where the character has attained a mood similar to yours. I think its important to show all sides of human emotions and you have done an outstanding job with it in this render! :-)
