These type of markers seem so durable. I wonder what it might look like in a hundred years? Really interesting Can you image a $55,000 price tag on anything but a man hole cover today?

when I studied architecture (as an artist, not as an architect), we learned about the types of bridges, and I remember that cantilever truss bridges were often exquisite, with elaborate web work. This sign is fascinating, I didn't know that this bridge was so rare, and prized. It's amazing what finds there are lurking all over this country...
