In a near future only slightly different from this one, if you ventured to the bottom of one of the largest Minus Towers in Amsterdam, known as the Core Bore, you’d find a club called the Temple of Bass(ment), a Resistant European sonic house. Here, after the great Intercontinental Trade War, they make the best of living with the corporate giants who won and try to forget their troubles. “Kid City and the EuroKings”, occupy the stage. The band play a cathartic bass driven wall of hypnotic noise, with intelligent low-key lyrics woven into the sound and compelling little melodies threaded skilfully through the vocals and the instrumentation. They are starting to make a name for themselves. Kid City doesn’t know it yet, but he is about to be drawn into a dangerous political game where he will become a hero of a different sort. And who knows how that will end?
