George had concerns when he got back from Panama and discovered all the clues about things Annette had done in his absence, and talking to Derek Thomlinson didn't allay them. To find out if Annette might have somehow put one over on the organization (and him specifically) he set Annette up to overwhelm her with an unfamiliar environment full of dazzle and glitz so he could blind-side her with an unexpected inquiry. She was overwhelmed, and the blind-side worked perfectly - on him! Like the innocent ingenue she is to the spy-world, she thought George was letting her know he believed her about the aliens and she blurted out everything she could remember in a torrent of information. His concerns about Annette and her allegiance are allayed! Let's see, now she knows about the satellite, the Columbia river mansion, the yacht, the other operations buildings from around the world,... she may even have the real Director's name by now,... Less stuff to have to teach her... Anyway...
