I am bewildered by this, but like the massive feeling comes in slow motion. I feel challenged, threathened almost, but the light as you put it there, is someway caressing, although maybe not in a comforting way. A very intense, and precious work. Love the way you painted almonds: it's not easy at all to do that.

Is there supposed to be some sexual meaning associated with the wings shoving through the apple or is it just my perverted imagination? Visually it is a very appealing image, and the pictoric ideas going around are great, but I fear that I am missing some of the subtler meanings of this picture.

hi tuerda :) no,no,no. No sexual meanings intended. If you aren't too disturbed to think of sexual meanings associated with tumours...it's your choice :) I know, it's my fault, since I usually portray sexual subjects. However, I can assure you that -except for the opening that can be construed as a vagina, all the rest have the sole purpose of a parody of fantasy art. and as for subtle meanings, who says I'm always interested in inducing thought? Emotion at the birth of a cancerous fantasy creature is satisfactory for me. lots of love!
