after 7 years i'm finally getting around in adding some info on this page. never really thought about doing it. i have been a member here since July 15th 2006, and have learned alot from fellow artists. i would have about 1300 images or so posted but have deleated many of my first pieces. and still consider myself a developing artist at this wonderful site. i'm 56 years old this year "2013" and was born in North Dakota. i have lived in Colorado since 1967 and enjoy this place alot. my stepfather was in the air force and we lived in Bermuda after North Dakota for a few years before coming here where he got stationed.. and so much enjoy many of the finest artist in the world who post here.. love you all and your amazing friendships we share.. lol Steve

This is a worrying looking image! I wish you a nice Sunday and a good start into the new Week! All what I can say to you dear Steve: "Please stay strong for your Mom and for yourself, there are even better times to come, even if it doesn't look like it at the moment"!

The perspective is fine. Love the use of dual hair on the character. I hope my next week goes better than your week. Best wishes.

Wonderful image Steve!
I am sorry about everything that is going on with both your niece and your mom too. My mom fainted in my arms last year right after the Covid lockdown started and it was a frightening experience. I hope your mom recovers quickly from the fall and the doctors can find the cause of it.

I do hope your mom will be ok...and same for your niece, Steve...I'll write back soon...
Your perspective is skewed here, yes, but that makes it all the better, because you convey mystery and discomfort here, and the perspective brings that out beautifully. A dark, brooding image, with a great stare, and I love how her hair drapes over her face. Also, it's another of your heavily decorated faces (love the swilrs around her eyes, and the streaks on her lips). Great cross too, with a great outfit (her denim-like vest is terrific). The background angles make this an unsettling image...and that painting does too: It almost looks like a Caravaggio (from the renaissance), but it's probably not---but it portrays a woman looking for redemption, while others seem hurt or murdered. Powerful stuff, Steve. A powerful, brooding image.
