when you go with flat colors, you create explosions. This doesn't have one color that isn't flat, I believe, and you have a knack, in such pieces, for using high contrast with saturated and vivid hues...this is an eye explosion, with a center from which everything seems to be blasting outwards. Great yellows and greens on top (light), and pouning reds in the center (w/ blues and other hues). This is terrific. And when one studies your flat-hued abstracts, they're not far removed from your pastel pieces.
