This started out as an experiment with god rays, indicating my complete failure to get a satisfactory result…

You created a very dramatic scene in this render and it looks awesome! I like the lighting and shadows...added together with the excellent camera angle you have chosen and it makes for a tense cinematic moment! Somehow I don't believe this carbon unit is going to go quietly...never underestimate a human cyborgs! :-)

many thanks, Ellis, still trying to get a handle on DS lighting, especially volumetric, hence this just uses a couple of spots as I got fed up, lol...

Heh. Experiment with God Rays, eh? Dang, I feel your pain. Also I feel your sense of satisfaction at getting something very worth looking at even if it wasn't what you had in mind.
