Looks like you met the challenge :) Do like how you've "embellished" the scene with the fairy and flowers too.

Little did anyone know that her Zen Stones were made up of a very rare and valuable collection of meteorite rocks. The pure Olivine crystals inside two of them are worth many thousands... ;)

A prime number? Zen focuses the spirit on one thing and seeks its true figure. The prime number is itself. The fairy seems to find herself and feel joy. Wonderful image!

Superb composition !

The creative way the rocks are stacked is fascinating. Now I want to go get some river rocks and start stacking them around the porch. If only we had a river closer than a 1000 miles away.

always a joy when you post, Barb. A Zen offering tonight! (Well, I see that you posted this 2 days ago, but I didn't get the ebot until late yesterday.) Another delightful piece of magic from you: I love the fairy in a meditative pose, and also a dance pose showing joy and gratitude (looking upwards in joy, her fingers in that closed position, 'completing the universe' as they would say); you use purples beautifully---in her blouse and the coloration on her skin, in her beautiful wings, and in those striking purple flowers. And to harmonize with all the greens, you gave an almost lepruchan-green to her yoga pants. Your rocks are massed with her, or with the flowers, (sweet composition), and the rocks have the poetic configuration that people use in zen gardens---emphasizing the individuality of each rock, while also letting them be a group. (Fascinating rocks too! From flat---piled up the left---to those almost fossil-like rocks on the right.) And a photo of a forest in the background, in gentle bokeh...even your initials are a beautiful green, and placed in the center of that bottom leaf. (It almost looks like a face---2 eyes and a nose!) There's a famous old tale about a zen master who journeys to China from India, and the Emperor greets him and asks: "Who is it who sits before me?" And the zen master replies: "I don't know..." The idea was that, by erasing all our identity ("I don't know"), we can find 'purity of mind'. That's austere zen! But many of my favorite buddhist images are of the laughing buddha, sitting, beaming, and chortling in joy at everything. Your image evokes that spirit. A pure delight, barb, as always. (and inspired by 17! someone said it's a prime number...people should keep giving you numbers! you did great with this one!) (How about 2,982,436----too big? Can't find that many rocks? Ok, I withdraw the suggestion...i'm not too great at this...)
