Adelaide Pavilion, Burlats Priory
12th century Romanesque house.
The five large windows on the second floor (four bays to the south and one to the west) illuminate a unique room. The ground floor has no windows.

Maison romane du XIIe siècle.
Les cinq grandes fenêtres au second étage (quatre baies au sud et une à l'ouest) éclairent une pièce unique. Le rez-de-chaussée ne comporte aucune fenêtre.

Quel splendide pavillon ancien, qui a dû être bien entretenu, avec ses fenêtres doubles coiffées d'une arche romane, et ces belles pierres.........magnifique prise de vue qui fait honneur au travail des anciens bâtisseurs, Jean-Claude !

Perhaps no ground floor windows in that they valued their privacy or it was easier to defend against unwanted 'guests?' A fantastic old mansion/fortress/house. Great capture, Jean!

Pas de fenêtre en bas, c'est peut-être aussi bien pour diminuer les risques de voleurs médiévaux, ou alors les potentielles inondations. Une belle maison!
