Description
So, this WAS going to be for the Nostalgic TV contest here on Renderosity, but I found out about it too late and missed the deadline. Still, I'm happy with the image. That big beautiful ship in the background is (like the Robot and Chariot also in the pic) an old Poser model that I dug out of mothballs and whose outdated shaders I've been busily updating (also like the Robot and Chariot). It's not entirely finished ( there's a LOT of work to be done in the interior), but it was finished enough for a good exterior shot.

Super cool. Love this show when I was a kid, and the reboot now. Nice work

Thanks, uncollared! I'm really enjoying the reboot, as well.

You did an awesome job on this render! I know how hard it is to get all the elements together to create such a complex scene and I commend you for doing such outstanding work! I think both this image and the B&W look great but I prefer this one...after all you did an amazing job with the materials on the robot, it would be a shame not to display them in their full colorful splendor! I myself have often wanted to create a animation using these characters, but it would have to be done without this great looking robot (I don't think its no longer available to purchase) This image gets 10 platinum stars and an instant favorite from me! :-)

Hey, thanks a lot!! I have to admit, I feel the same as you on wanting to display all the lights and colors on the Robot. I put a fair amount of work into getting the lights to look like their real life, 60's era counterparts. I'm doing the same with the interior of the Jupiter 2, and although the model isn't 100% accurate, I'll be pushing it as close as possible to the actual set. Glad you like the images!

Wonderful work. I like the clean colours and the planet in the sky is perfect.

Thank you very much!!
