Description
Clearing the WIP cache. This one is a post apocalyptical asset and texture bash with a randomly generated original character keeping watch as an exhausted Ellie 'Williams' crashes after a prolonged fight with roaming bandits while in pursuit of Abby Anderson. Random Girl isn't entirely pleased with her intervention as she abandoned her group to avoid squabbling and violence and now she's s expended half her remaining ammunition for the only functional Japanese Type 99 LMG in the 'Last of Us' universe on account of a trespasser holding far too much back...
Ellie looks like she's floating on the sofa, but she's lined up pretty well. Didn't use Mesh Grabber on the cushion as these tend to be rather firm with this sort of furniture - might have been better to have pushed and pulled after all. Lots of texturing to lighten up the scene as the setting indoor lights cast a night glow when I wanted a day lit scene highlighting the watchkeeper. A little drab, but ramping up the saturation didn't satisfy. Screw it; it's the apocalypse after all..:)

Thanks Starship!
UteBigSmile
Loved that movie and I love your new image, it's wonderfully done!
jdwtrxk
Thanks Ute - a little darker than your joyful scenes but...:)
JohnnyM
You did an awesome job on this scene...your lighting and camera angle, captures the moment so well! Excellent work! :-)
jdwtrxk
Thanks Johnny was fun. Resisted the urge to dump all sorts of detail props which was probably fortunate...:)
Radar_rad-dude
Very good scene and characters! Fine details and lighting make for a fantastic creation! Bravo! Very well accomplished work!
jdwtrxk
Thanks Radar!
IronClawRoo
Really nice, I like her expression. It's subtle but conveys the tension of waiting there in that place. Also really nice lighting coming through the window. :D
jdwtrxk
Thanks Iron - the window light was key. Went through a lot HDRIs loaded to get the right one. Had a sunset that set a beautiful tone but it was too dark to see inside the room without raising the intensity and lowering the contrast.
gaius
I'm not great fan of postapocalyptic images or movies but I must say this image is wonderful, it tells a story.
jdwtrxk
Thanks gaius - that was the idea though success is always touch and go. Had a new purchased character, an original in cache and an LMG you aren't likely to find in postapocalyptic scene. DAZ blew up on Saturday so I'll need to reinstall and reload a lot of goodies. Guess that's another way to clean up files...:)
mifdesign
Just outstanding brilliant fabulous awesome render. Only.
jdwtrxk
Thanks mif - textures are a hoot to play with. I tried three or four on the original character to get one that suited. Even wall and carpet textures can change everything...
longprong
Maybe the lull before the storm........
jdwtrxk
Yeah, Longprong, that was the thought. Every scene comes with a sequel in mind but they succumb to new ideas and limited storage space...thanks for looking!

jdwtrxk
Thanks Bonny - now you know why I needed those shaders :)
coyoteviper
looks all good to me. besides, I love a woman who can hold her own. and I think she has it all under control.
jdwtrxk
Thanks coyote - she does at least for the moment :)
