I did not add anything to the photo except to crop the foreground
it probably was another race of humanoids that accidently had a politician beamed up to their world
they were ready to be rid of such a scary humanoid

That is some odd effect for sure. I'm with RodS on what I wish would happen. But, what if there plan is the conquest of the earth and they are beaming more of her down? Now that is a scary thought.

i love that ghostly flare or whatever it is---it's almost like a ghost tornado...And yeah, it looks like someone from starship enterprise is trying to land in that massive forested land. I gotta say, even without the beam-up, it's a very impressive shot because of the hugeness of it, the sameness, the flatness, and those deep rust hues. Full size, it's vast. It's almost midwestern. Maybe the tower is communicating with the ghost...
