Description
Same idea as my previous image but I wanted to see how close I could get while still using UHD (so-called 4k) resolution. This isn't quite at the limit but it does look pretty good in my view. My main reason for posting these simple experiments was to alert others to the huge amount of free 3D resources that NASA gives away, including many models of their spacecraft.

Rendered in Blender 3D. Blender is free 3D software from www.blender.org. It is fantastic.
This Blender file will be used with my spacecraft, Discovery II, for a forthcoming animation that I will post on YouTube.

Not giving away too much, but..... Some of NASA's images might just show up in a certain long-running story at some point in the not-too-distant future... 😉
