I'm at over an hour, now, so I have to end somewhere. I love the art criticism image (very provocative), or the burning spirit of the wood image, or the 2 children dancing in the field, or your most recent image ("She's a Little Bit Dangerous")---another of your wonderful single framed portraits, with expressions of mixed emotion. And I could name many others. But ok, I have to end for now, so I picked this, because I've always loved your late-night urban images, and this was just waiting for me...so...
Wonderful deep blue light, with bright neon. And I love the light through the windows---glimpses into the lives of others, late at night. Your central character is a free-wheeling happy-go-lucky woman, with a great face (we've seen her before), and I love those needles in her blue hair. Also the way she waves her bags in the air. A real shopper...Then you have the lines of that roof on the right side---lit up in yellow---and the line of the facades on the left side. It's got all the mystery of a city late at night. You have a bar in the background (always evoking mystery and even darker emotions), and an arch behind the woman, leading to another high rise. We don't know who's in that car, but it's sitting there all the same...Love the light on the street, in front: It shines. A real late night, urban scene, with humor and mystery. You do these so well. Well, I'm at 70 minutes, so I have to move on for now...I hope you're well, Ute, and I wish you a wonderful October. Take care and stay healthy. Great work as always. It's a great pleasure to be here.
