in your original, you alerted people to the reality of the native americans during covid (and suggested where to find charities, etc). I really appreciated that. I had the blessing to study with a shaman of the Ojibway peoples; she studied biochemistry for some years before going back to her roots and becoming a shaman. Her shamanistic training was 15 years, she said she used her biochem. background many times, and she had rapport with animals I'd never seen from anyone else in my life. I should post something about her (I may have but I don't remember). It was kind of you to mention charities (esp during covid) as they've suffered deeply from what we've done to them. Your original is soft and very loving, barb, with a quality one finds in paintings. I loved the age marks in her face, and the soft orange-reds of her shoulder, and the soft sky behind her. Her pose suggests query-ing and a bit of sadness, but also invitation, as if she's asking us to know her, remember her past. And you've softened the edges too. A very sensitive portrait; one of your most sensitive, esp considering the subject (where sensitivity has been heavily missing in their interactions with the rest of us).
Your ddg version is brighter, colors more saturated, and surfaces broken into those multi-organic forms. Her face is even more querying, her eyes intensify your message in the original, and you have some beautiful cellular growths throughout her whole being and in the background. Her hair is alive too, as are her fringe-laden sleeves. This is a more stark, peering vision, and penetrating. A powerful transformation, Barb. (I have to stop now, I'll get to "The Odd Couple" soon.) (I couldn't find the original, lol---I'll have to wing it!) I love the comparisons; I'm sorry these were brought on by illness and fatigue, but they've made a wonderful journey. Take care, and keep getting better...
(i left out "The Beckoning"! I'll get to it too...)

This is a beautiful portrait and yet the subject itself, projects a bit of sadness. Excellent work! :-)

I'm thinking you will be well enough to work with Daz again soon? I hope you don't get too interested in this new software that Daz takes a back seat! lol

Who knows? I might just go through my entire gallery and run it through DDG :) I'm having a great time with DDG--it brings out the colors, and I believe it makes a scene look more interesting, more dimensional..
