Description
"Tearing down and rebuilding the engine from a classic Ferrari is easy when you know how. So much so, we might just be able to put it all back together before Higgins gets back and freaks out."

Engine parts by me in Blender

Rendered in DS iRay 4.15 with no postwork.
I thought it'd be fun to feature the Thomas Magnums from both the original and reboot series. And to show the level of detail that's gone into modelling the internal parts, I laid them out as they would be during a complete teardown. The models of the 1973-1980 engine versions are almost complete, so I just have to polish a few rough edges before I start work on the later ones.

Dismantling an engine is easy. Rebuilding the same engine is far more difficult, even with the workshop manual and the special manufacturer's tools needed!

The effort that went into creating this scene with all its given details is amazing! I am a fan of Ferrari's and the series and I enjoy it that you putting both versions of Thomas Magnum in your render! The 308 and the engine all spread out like that looks fantastic! Your modeling skills and talent in creating them is amazing and so well done. As you so well know, but I repeat nevertheless for others that are seeing this, the one thing to remember when assembling such a precision engine is that its all about the close tolerances...you get those right and assemble it correctly and you are going to have one awesome engine purring like a kitten and ready to tear up the pavement like a Tiger or Lion (your choice of kitties) This is the first time I view your work and I will be certain to keep an eye out for your next render. This is an instant favorite with me and a 10 platinum star image my friend!

I've previously done a few WIP renders with the engine in one piece. And there were several other variants of this engine which I plan to polish off, which hopefully won't take as long as the core parts which are already done.

I have to agree 110% with Johnny... this is amazing, and so detailed - right down to the spray cans of WD-40. A brilliant piece of work here, my friend!
