not really a gallery post, just a vent/rant/long winded spewing of frustration =P
so for quite some time ive been trying to "find that sweet spot" of software to use and how best to use it... years actually. one aspect of that journey is using the best figure. started with poser, transitioned into daz, now using reallusion line, and all the in-betweens. makehuman, fuse, mb-labs, mixamo... finding, creating and becoming comfortable with a constant and consistent workflow is also crucial, as im sure you all know. then of course the natural exploring, practicing, learning, experimenting... but im getting there...
anyways, i notice that there seems to be a huge demand for people wanting to use makehuman and cc3 figures in daz. fbx format is not new, and so many of the programs we use are bridging themselves, making things easier. huge push to blender, which is great as its free and pretty awesome actually. carrara, which hasnt had an update in eons, can easily import both makehuman and cc3 figures with their rigging. not the best translation, but good enough for government work =/ daz studio, which has had many updates, is still not able to utilize other figures, and it just hit me. is it because daz does not want people using other figures in their software?!? but dont they bend over backwards to get their content into other software?!? double standard???
anyway, ive invested billions into content and software over the past 20 some odd years, and in seeing a need to focus, ive made some hard core decisions, lol
image is just a simple test of makehuman (left) and cc3 (right) imports into carrara. ive tried relentlessly to get figures from makehuman and cc3 into studio, and its an exercise in futility. im really enjoying the bridges between cc3>zbrush>3dc>blender, but really need to ramp up my blender learning...

You did a very good job of importing them. Other than that, Blender Guru on YouTube does excellent tutorials.
