Description
Hi everyone,
I needed to post a few visuals, since I'm posting so sporadically these days.
This is from a while back--I painted over a photo w/ acrylics, and then played with it in Photoshop. It's a little better full size, but I hope you like it however you see it...
I greatly appreciate your visits, and wish you all a splendid week! mark

The artistic side of you is shown so well in these wonderful works of art my friend! I like them all, as they are a reflection of each other and the talented artist that created them! I have always admired abstract art and often enjoy viewing it when visiting a gallery. Your work here is representative of the type of art I enjoy viewing! :-)

you are the best at creating abstract images from your photos Mark. these images reminds me of the show called tales from the darkside. you have three major talents at least. a writter, a artist and a great kind and selfless man.

Excellent work, Mark! These are so cool. Each panel can be viewed as different moods, different times of day, or different seasons. The one thing they have in common is they all have mystery, and they all definitely lead to a fantasy world where life is more colorful and much more magical. Find the disappearing and reappearing gate and you will find a place where wishes do come true. This is really fun and colorful!

I've seen a lot of abstracts from a lot of artists / photographers in my years... Some in high-end Galleries such as the Nelson Gallery of Fine Art here in Kansas City. None of them come close to what you create, Mark!
It's a visual slice of chocolate cake with raspberry ice-cream sauce to these eyes. Your sense of placement and color interactions are all your own, and always a fascinating exploration of color and form. Keep 'em coming, buddy!

well! I put this under the wrong image! Sorry! Here it is under the RIGHT image! (talk about being in a haze...) thank you Rod for what you said about my abstracts, w/ your very kind words, I deeply appreciate it. (I got tons of these abstracts sitting around...they get ornery, want to be fed, and sometimes throw parties late at night. I'm working on getting them up, and "into the air" so to speak...they're looking pale, anemic, poor blighters...) Thanks so much again, Rod. If I could be half the quality of what's in Nelson-Atkins, I'd be a very happy man...

I'm speechless by watching all those splendid and spectacular details. I've no idea how to imagine how you work on this. You bring so much fantasy to life, so much action, multifaceted details and effects, textures and colors. The real artist speaks here, my friend.

That's cool how they all mesh together to make one whole image.
