Love the fall colors and the black and orange. The cars are terrific in this scene. The guys seem perplexed as to what to do with their jack o' lanterns.

Send their cute little pumpkin butts to my house! I'll even give them room to park those huge honkin' Pontiacs!

Fun. They figures are looking down at the pumpkins as though they are being directing to take them to wherever sentient pumpkins might deem compelling..

Hard to recall now but back when those cars were new trees probably had turned by Halloween, but no longer. Still breen where I live in Verginia.

If I could only know where this forest,where ready for use Hallowe'en pumpkins are collected is located, it would be wonderful! An excellent scene!

Thanks for the comments, Wolfe! I greatly appreciate your kindness in leaving them. As per one of my previous images, I don't recall taking salt pills. But I will take your word for it they must have been awful. I do recall long trips in those old 50s cars with windows down and that was the only A/C you got. Refrigeration didn't show up till the 70s as I recall, mid to late 70s at that. But in ND they laughed at people that had A/C back in those days too. Not now! I also recall using the line 'are we there yet' as well as a little kid. LOL!

there are other pieces of yours that I want to comment on, but it's getting late, and I'll end with your halloween image, in honor of the holiday. Love the oranges on the car---you've reversed the hues: one car is black w/ orange roof, the other vice versa: nice play. And you place these men in a very surreal way, your work sometimes reminds me of Magritte---they're very natural yet they seem planted there from another world. The fact that they have the same poses (or similar) but are placed at different angles, gives this a wonderfully surreal air...and holding pumpkins as if they were ritual objects they had to be careful with. The orange trim on their suits is a nice touch too (and orange-tinted hair too). You place it in an idyllic autumn scene and yet the poeple and cars make it so other worldly. And you've irised it all to make it like we're glimpsing into another age. (Well those cars certainly weren't made yesterday.) Terrific. Have a great holiday Bill!
