When I first saw this, there were no comments. But now there are. So let me quote barb/bakapo, in response to your (very funny) remark that you always look like 'halloween': "Nope, you are a lovely human being, both inside and out, you are too beautiful for Halloween costumes. ((hugs))" Ditto. (Though i loved your comment: I look like halloween most mornings of the year! And some afternoons too...)
This is a scene out of Dante's Inferno---it even reminds me of a very famous German play, Marat/Sade (by Peter Weiss), which takes place in an insane asylum (Irrenanstalt, Irrenhaus?). This looks like a scene from that play. Great light and red tones---we feel the presence of blood everywhere. And great expressions...and I see that you highlighted their eyes, so they stand out. And that poor man---he's not having a very good time. They're all dressed in cabaret-like outfits---especially the boots---which make them all the more macabre. Terrific macabre image, Ute.
