Description

In Star Wars there is a long tradition of picking out background characters and creating complex and compelling personal histories for them. The Bounty Hunter Aurra Sing is a perfect example of that. Seen only a few seconds in Star Wars Phantom Menace at Anakin's pod race, she has been cast in the role as Bobba Fett's surrogate mother figure after the death of Jango. She is fantastically Horrible at the job, but perhaps that's what was needed to form Bobba's character. Its these touches that corporate Disney ignored with its heavy handed approach. General Hucks, in the original writing came from a family of military men; Kennedy turned him into a white male joke to take out her social justice warrior frustrations on. Perhaps good for her but doesn't advance the story line. You need a Villain who is competent, crafty, and a threat for a good adventure story.
