such exquisite contrasts, with your usual sense of beauty and intimacy. I've felt that about your work from the beginning: Ie, that you combine beauty---and sometimes expansive, sweeping beauty---with a constant sense of intimacy. It's that you create a feeling that you're giving us these images as a private gift...It's in your framing---ie, your frame proportions---what you leave in your image and what you leave out, your way with colors, and with balance, the type of backgrounds you often capture, etc etc. Hard to put it in words. But here is a fountain: And, while its hues are like a grand light-show, the image feels very quiet and "caressing". Beautiful reflections too; and the background trees---with touches of "blush" makeup (like they were powdered with facial rouge)---are like a blanketed background protecting the pond. Beautiful.
