I don't know son. Sure mystifies me how it disappears so fast. If I had a clue, I'd let you know for sure!
What do you suppose happened to my Dad? Do you think he will ever return?
I wish I knew. I've wondered about that every day since he disappeared. He and that dang Rocketeer friend
of his. Always getting mixed up in some dang fool shenanigans. Doesn't seem like they've been gone almost
twelve years already.
I remember dad never missed a day flying that plane. He sure loved that thing!
Yeah. He sure did, didn't he. Well, after he disappeared about a month, the military showed up one day
bringing his plane back. They said he was missing in action but couldn't tell me anything about it.
I just hope he and his dang fool friend served their country well and died with honor. Now don't you
get no fool ideas of following in your father's footsteps! You hear me!

Very nice scene. Plane looks out of scale - about 2x proper size. Single radial engine defined size of fuselage. Engines on WWII bombers were way smaller. Or the DC-4 I took when I was a kid.

Time does fly indeed! And it just goes by faster the older you get. Far too many have given their all for this country and have never been seen again. The forgotten heroes.
