Description
Elizabeth led the little band out of the house. She turned to her sister, Dorotea, and asked, "Why do you suppose Grace shared all that with us, Tea?"
"It seems she wants us to help her discover who killed her," Dorotea answered.
"So it would seem," the Professor replied. "To what end, though? She was murdered near 140 years ago. It appalls me that the prime suspect is grandfather Edward."
"I suppose the end is justice or closure of some sort, Lizzie," Dorotea said. "I propose we look for that mask. If we can find it and determine it's owner we have the identity of the killer."
Meanwhile, Brooke lingered at the door looking up the stairs toward the room where Grace had last been seen. Gregor waited with her. "What is it, Mladshaya sestra?"
"I-I'm not sure. I felt her in my mind, Gregor. There was such..." Brooke paused searching for words to describe the state of mind that Grace had projected during the apparition and near possession. "...longing? Anguish? I don't know..." She grasped the doorknob to pull the door shut. "Goodbye, Grace. See you again, I hope."
Molly's art notes: Set up and rendered in Poser 12.0.703. Saved in Open EXR format which I have not worked with before! Tweaked for compositing ghostly Grace into the picture, color saturation and a subtle vignette in Photoshop. The setting is based on the Haunted House by Blue Tree Studio. The characters are based on morphs and textures by Tempesta3d imposed upon the La Femme, L'Homme and Dawn meshes. Flink's instant forest, trees, sky and rolling hills enhanced the background. I used the old P4 Dork and Posette textured with Vince Bagna's Ghost texture with some tweaks for the ectoplasmic vision of the past.
The characters and personalities of Elizabeth and Dorotea Van Humbeek, Gregor Bubnoff, Brooke Potts and Grace Geist are my original characters. I am so indebted to the content creators who made the meshes, morphs and textures that allowed me to bring these people to life. Briefly, Professor Elizabeth Van Humbeek is a paranormal investigator who teaches at the University of River Heights. Her elder sister, Dorotea, is a world traveler and adventurer. Brooke and Gregor are graduate students and assistants to the Professor. Grace Geist is a restless spirit that has become something of a familiar to the professor. Her ghastly changed appearance is Ghost for V4 by Adam Thwaites.

Thanks for the comment, my dear! I'm glad you have enjoyed the series. I am sure I will be revisiting these characters but this one marks the end of "Grace's Story".

So cool, love the doorway view of the autumn setting.

Thank you! I built a great big set with Blue Tree Studio's Haunted House and a ton of stuff by Flink. It was great to have some sort of background no matter where I put the camera.

Thank you so much for the lovely comment, my dear! I'm going to be getting back to the other stories I had going but I feel certain I'm not done with Grace and the Professor's little group.

like the seasonal view through the door, ties in well to the clothing; a really sweet continuation to the story too, Grandfather Edward lives... :)
MollyFootman
Heh. Well, I didn't mean to imply Grandfather Edward lives, we'll see about that! Thanks for the lovely comment and I'm glad you like the seasonal atmosphere I built for this little story. I could not have done it without the nice content from Flink and Blue Tree Studios.

I can feel how crisp the air is in this image. Nice work
MollyFootman
Thank you! The content from Flink worked perfectly to give that "Fall feeling" to the out of doors scenery.

The team had an adventure they never would forget in their lifes. Now the hunt for the murder has to start, because Grace wants rest in peace and will not haunt around for centuries ... Do you intend to continue this thrilling series? Regards Anne
MollyFootman
I do, Anne. I am going to let it rest while I figure a few things out but I expect to return to these characters and their story soon. I am delighted that you are interested in them.

Good story. However, as a result of that, I had to miss a substantial amount of class time. Fortunately, the authors who contribute to the writing site (check https://goodmenproject.com/learning/best-services-to-hire-an-essay-writer-in-2021/ ) are willing to collaborate with me on the student essay. This is a company that has my top recommendation.
MollyFootman
Eh. OK. Thank you for the comment, I guess.
