Description

I will not tell you the story of Carmen ; everybody knows it. Act 4 : "La Corrida". Carmen says "I am not a woman to tremble in front of him" to add "Carmen will never yield". You all know without a doubt that it is her who is going to be killed by Don José, who, in the opera, was a soldier (the toreador was Escamillo) ; I decided he could be a matador...artistic freedom !...please, don't see in my image a homage to the current movements, more or less anti-male ! and if you tell me that Carmen is too well dressed, considering she was a Gypsy, I will answer that all the Andalusian women are beautiful and elegant ! The picture in the background is a reworked photo that I took in the bullring of Ronda even though the action of the opera takes place in Seville. The matador is a character in obj format found on Sketchfab. Have a superb weekend, my friends.

This is beautiful work gaius and I highly commend the talent and skill to do such awesome work...nevertheless I feel it is my duty to mention this to you, in the most polite manner possible...where is my favorite little dog? I don't see him anywhere in this render! Now I am starting to get worried...did you loose my little friend in a horrible computer crash gaius? Come on buddy, tell me the truth about what happened to him. I am afraid I am now going to have to hire Rod's elite team of TNA girls to track him down...you left me no other choice my friend! "LOL" :-)

Bravo !

She's absolutely delicious! I'm sure her little doggie is waiting in the wings for safety!

really like the juxtaposition of the figures and the calm collected formal pose of the matador vs the passionate dagger waving Carmen. This is a visual delight that makes me want to eat tapas and watch some flamenco dancing to the clapping of hands and the sound of a guitar while drinking some rich wine

Excellent take on a classic woman, gaius. She might be a little off canon for those who worry over such things, but she looks great gypsy outfit or no. Don't worry about current movements either, though it's only a matter of time before they'll try to change Moby Dick to an angry female and his name to suit....

Ahhh, Ronda. Been there - it's beautiful and you are right about Andalusian women. The only thing they do poorly in that region are those little stages - nails seem to stick out of them and all the poor dancers have to mend that by stomping them back into the planks to fix that.... ;D

Andalusia has some great architecture and you have done a great job blending your photo into the scene. The character seems to display that fiery temperament that I would expect from Carmen.
