"Auch auf einem Raumschiff muss mal etwas Spaß an der Tagesordnung liegen, aber gestern ging der Käpten zu weit und kam am nächsten morgen noch vollbenebelt zum Dienst, saß wie Schrott auf seinem Sitz und lallte vor sich hin. Die eine Pilotin versuchte ihm ins Gewissen zu reden, währenddessen sich die andere darüber köstlich amüsierte. Ach' sowas gab es noch nicht einmal bei der Enterprise, da waren alle Crewmitglieder immer total nüchtern, oder"?

One of the pilots tried to tell him what to do, while the other was having a good laugh. Oh, they didn't even have that on the Enterprise, all the crew members were always totally sober, weren't they"?

Haha yes a little drink on a long voyage is sometimes necessary!
I remember on one of my science cruises plating table tennis with the ship's crew during a storm after a few beers... it was very difficult to actually get the ball to hit that table at all! :)
