even if you didn't live in such a beautiful area, your photographs would make us feel that you do. This is one of many forest shots from you...and, while it hints at something vast, it feels very close and intimate. Ie: For all we know, this could be a very small forest, very "shallow": But it feels like a big forest that you've made intimate with your blanketed "carpet" of leaves, and the soft leafy "tapestry" of the leaves, and the deep green light. And it's in fine proportions too---about 1/3 ground, 2/3 forest. Also, leaving out the treetops guarantees that the shot will feel intimate (in human scale). Very inviting and gentle.
