practicing using the scatter tool in blender.......... i'll go there =P "compared" to the surface replicator in carrara, no competition =/ exponentially more control in carrara. however, its way easier to "apply", but there is a lot of clean up after the fact. the surface replicator in carrara is one of the best scene composing features in carrara, and i am totally spoiled by it. i do stills, not animation, and while a lot of the tools in my arsenal are geared towards animation, i actually just prefer doing "art" (not that ive done much over the past few years). im still looking to fill the void left by bryce, if updated to current trends, bryce would be AMAZING, but i transitioned to carrara in hopes of filling that empty space, and now to blender, as there has been ZER0 movement in carrara in years. that doesnt fly in todays ever developing world of 3d grafx... Daz had a great opportunity, but content for their figures is their only focus. i get it... but for me, the 3d programs i started my 3d journey with have been slowly fading away.
