Description

Launch Bay Alpha based on the original Battlestar Galactica movie from 1978 and the series that followed on TV. This is my vision of Galactica's Launch Bay Alpha. It is based on a 1/32 scale plastic, balsa wood and other materials made by Darkmoonspirit. His model is a beautifully crafted piece of work. Using his photos, I used them as a guide for the model shown here. Darkmoonspirit's and mine are not exact representations. They are his and my vision. If you want to see some real skills check out his link below. http://www.resinilluminati.com/showthread.php?t=7932 All parts of my launch bay model are my own with the exception of the Vipers. The Viper was made by mrpetercharman at Sketchfab and is available for free. It is a weathered looking model and I modified it to have an opening canopy along with a simple cockpit and an ejection seat. The Viper pilot helmet is from 2003 or 2004. No idea who made it but it's cool looking. Bonnie's head is joined to her original P4 model body to keep the figure size low. It's not the best way to do things but I don't need a large megabyte model to sit in a Viper. The male characters are P4 guys I once used for some aircraft carrier stuff I made many years ago. They are good enough here.
