As some one who is not Hispanic and truly does not understand nor support Bullfights, I'm not so sorry for them. They choose to do what they did and they slaughtered a lot of Bulls in an inhumane, cruel and disgusting way. One day the desperate bull turned the game and they got slaughtered them self (although it didn't save the Bull in the end). They knew the risk, they accepted it, they deserved it... They are no heroes in my eyes.
Sorry for not having any empathy for the toreros at all, but in my personal opinion those kind of Bull fights should be forbidden at all, because it is barbaric animal cruelty.
The only kind of "Bullfights" I can accept are those, they use to do in the south of France (in Arles e.g.) where young men try to put rings on the bulls horns. Those Boys do a pretty dangerous Game and they know it, but in every case, after 10 to 15 minutes, the Bull leaves the arena un hurt and alive - always!

I'm not Hispanic either & I am an animal lover. But I also love Hemingway & drama. Your attitude is normal & is becoming more prevalent in Latin countries, esp. Mexico.
