Description
The terrain is from the Crater Construction Kit (author unknown) with a material from Landscapes under Fantastic Skies, the violet nebula from the Space Construction Kit, sky and ambient light by the DS-Sky04 HDRI from Deep Space HDRI 2 (everything available at Daz 3D) and the rocket from HDRI for Sci-Fi Fantasy 1 (unpublished), the key light by the sun. The (retro) rocket departs from the planet.

Wow...this is beautiful work my friend! I specially like the rocket blasting off into some unknown place and that awesome light in the distance stands out and adds such a nice glow to your great looking terrain! :-)

Merci MagikUnicorn, thank you JohnnyM.

The landscape alone is superb - cast/tone.lighting..... the other elements (in my honest opinion) aren't gel-ing - could it be the scale of your mountain's detail and bump map, the ship may be too large in scale, the same feel is happening in the cosmos elements, I would span the entire sky with it - the "sun" is LOW behind our right shoulder so you background sky will be getting darker as it is setting, that's where those cosmos elements will shine through nicely. Experiment with transparency/opacity there - follow your light gradient. That Terrain detail deserves the flattery that all those considerations will give it. Good job here BH - Try those tweaks and GO BIG (I'm not sure of your size and rez but I would recommend 1920 x1080 minimum at 300 dpi / ppi) that way you can sell prints of that bad boy.
