Thanks. I've always liked the look of fur framing a face. I put the pic on a plane and placed the plane about the same distance behind the model as real trees would have been so that hopefully the depth of field looks appropriate.

excellent tone and textures, nice work.
Vis a vis the background, there some excellent winter woods free HDRIs out there that might be less work that having to project the background on a primitive, and would also help simplify lighting.
