Description
The New Woman moved sinuously with impossible slowness and control in time with the pounding house beats of the Hype Club. The viewers had the sense that somehow she controlled the pounding beat rather than being influenced by it.
"Uhmm," Karl murmured, just loud enough for Samantha to hear. "Is... compelling? Something different about this one, I think."
Samantha smiled. "I knew you would be intrigued. I've arranged for her to visit us briefly when her set is done. If you think her dancing is hard to look away from, wait until you look into her eyes!"
Mr. Lee and his daughters observed stoically. His younger daughter murmured nearly inaudibly, "She's perfect..."
Molly's art notes: A different sort of retro sci fi. This was set up and rendered with Poser 12.0.703 using the Superfly Cycles 2 rendering engine. Marlena is based upon the La Femme mesh with texture and morph modification by Tempesta3d. Characters seen here are based on La Femme, Victoria 4, Michael 4, Victoria 3, David 3, Terai Yuki 2, Dork, Loretta LoRez and Joshua. I can provide more information about the costuming and characters if you like; some of it is pretty old stuff. The Hype Club is content by Christophe3D formerly known as Powerage.

I agree about the feel. It's garish, but very interesting and the light cones are a nice cheat that simulates the thick atmosphere of a club. I suppose I could use real volumetrics but Christophe3D provided this nice cheat and I figure why not use the content if I can get it looking half-way decent (it certainly renders faster than true volumetrics!).

Thank you, my dear! The lighting and materials are almost unchanged from what came with the Hype Club content. All the people, though? That's my doing.... and it takes forever to render! >.<

Really cool and evocative nightlife scene (just gong by what I've seen on film, of course) love the colours and PoV and the danseuse :)

Thanks Paul! It worked out pretty well using slightly tweaked lighting out of the box. The only real change I made to the content was to retexture some of the drinks. All those people to pose..... >.<

Thanks Norbert! The light cone objects for faking volumetrics were really useful. I think if I had done real volumetrics I might have died of old age waiting for the rendering to complete... ;P
