Well he can always put his money into tulips!

Weirdly, these two don't look so out of place in the office; a tribute to the posing and expression. I confess to not being familiar with the younger Hals brother's work, but I'm guessing something to do with the Amsterdam diamond traders?

you remind me of that film that I really liked: Tulip fever, a romance with as background this financial craze for the purchase of tulip bulbs. here, I wanted to confront two worlds, the Dutch genre scene, where man often seeks to seduce. in this office it is the woman who imposes it. the musketeer outfit reminded me of d'Artagnan: the man seems to be looking at the woman's neck as if the Queen's finery was missing studs
