Description

It's taken me far too long to post this, but here it is... This is a special dedication for a special friend - to all of us. Enjoy, Mark - and Thank You, my friend! You are one of a kind. Hope you're feeling better, and that nasty little fever that dirties your socks and steals your Christmas cookies when you're not looking goes away and bothers someone else. I can think of several folks it could visit and make miserable, but I won't "trumpet" any names.... Heh... I did a bit of playing with some filters and layers in PS, but it looks nothing like the wonderful, colorful and delightful things you come up with, Mark. Hope you're back soon, buddy! The photo is mine and was taken several years ago as I flew into Chicago for a training seminar on some new equipment. I was in an airplane in case anyone was wondering.... 😁 I'm doing some re-organizing of files, and trying to get this gigantic mess of images and ideas I have scattered over several hard drives into some kind of logical order. Also, I'm doing some re-writes, adding some fun stuff, and "tweaking" some older characters and bringing in some new characters to the TNA saga. You may have seen a few of them in the past. Several folks who are sadly no longer here at Rendo provided me with morphs for some of their wonderful characters. And what better way to keep their memory alive than including these characters in the story? That's it for now.... Lots of work still to do (on many things), so time to get my butt busy! Thanks as always for all your wonderful support, comments, friendships and inspiration! Happy Holidays, all! Rod's Lair Official Girls From T.N.A. Awesome way to make a dedication to our friend Rod! I don't have exact words to describe how talented, remarkable and gifted Mark is, but nevertheless I will try! :-)

Mark is the type of man every person should hope to meet at least once in a lifetime. I certainly know that no other person has ever described my humble art work, the way Mark does! If you should find him making a comment on one of your images...consider it an honor, for his words are like gold dust sprinkled on your art from above!

He is a talented writer and as Rod has said...he will make you feel like your work belongs in a fine art gallery every time he leaves a comment. Besides being so gifted with words, he is also a fine artist! I find his abstract manipulations of beautiful photos he has taken himself...such an enjoyable experience to view. The richness of colors in his art work is extraordinaire!

I have not heard from Mark since he last commented and mentioned a little feverish critter was making him not feel well. I hope he was able to chase away that pest that was causing him such discomfort. Unfortunately we are living in the times when even a slight cough can often develop into something more serious...such is the world we live in my friends!

Once again Rod, you are showing the wonderful heart you have for others, by dedicating this art work to our friend Mark! :-)

Perfect! You picked the right image and did a wonderful job with the filter-thingies. I totally agree with your assessment of Mark. He is a true gem in both the art world and as a human being. I hope he feels better soon.

I'm sorry I'm late to this, Rod, I was really hit with a flu. Not covid, but a 'normal' flu...and flus have always done me in. I'm still getting back to health. (I also had the booster during a hiatus from the flu, and I swear it brought the flu back.) I'm really moved by your dedi, and your words touched me deeply. Thank you for all you said, And when you write "and you always feel good when you reach the end of the story," that makes me feel really, really good--I try to bring my stories to a bright conclusion; I try. Your words moved me greatly Rod, as did your wishes; thank you so much. This is a very moving dedication. And I love that big sprawling electrified aerial photo-manip of downtown chicago, w/ a bit of the gold coast (bottom right). I know the area---like Lynn, I live not too far away from the "S" in your name. You've turned central chicago into a big electrified map--beautifully done.

And my thanks to all the people above who wrote such kind words and such loving wishes to me. I'm truly grateful. (You inspire people to that, Rod.)

(Also, lol, I kinda figured you were in an airplane when you took the shot---I didn't think you'd mastered hand flight yet. ((I know you have colliders and 400 motherboards and insulators, but hand flight is a weeeee bit trickier, esp if you're carrying a camera in one hand...just a hunch on my part...a bit of the ol' deduction...)

I'm behind on about 5 of your images---I've seen and read them all (incl the TNA piece, the warning to robbers ((can you clone your forces?)), and everything else): I'll get to them soon. But I know you were sick/under the weather, and laden with more repair, preparation and expenses. I really, really hope 2022 brings an end to all that. i wish you all the best from this long haul. Thank you for this wonderful dedi, and for all your care and inspiration over the years. This dedi picked me up considerably. I hope the rest of your holiday is a lot better than what you've been through so far---you and Jo deserve a real turnaround in 2022. Thanks so much again, Rod. It's greatly appreciated. Have a fine and healthy week!

(btw---most of my skyline shots are of the area in the lower right corner of your image---it seems huge, but it's only the very 'tip' of the downtown area. You transformed and designed the image so well---no surprise in that, Sir R! Thanks so much again...stay well!)

🤣😆 "I didn't think you'd mastered hand flight yet. ((I know you have colliders and 400 motherboards and insulators, but hand flight is a weeeee bit trickier" 🤣

Not only that, but people look at you reeeeallly funny when you try it.... 😂😄

Glad I could give you a bit of a lift, buddy! I hope you feel better really soon, and that nasty ol' flu goes away and leaves you a few cookies to enjoy. These silly websites keep telling me they're sending me cookies, but I haven't found the damn things yet.... 😆
