Hello! My name is Teri and I've been around for over 69 years in various forms. I am happily married (51 years!), have two daughters and four grandchildren.
I discovered Poser 2 many years ago but didn't do much with it. In 2006 I found a copy of Poser 4 and got interested again. I was working in Poser 10 before I switched to Daz Studio in late 2017. I'm gradually getting the hang of most of it.
When not playing on the computer, I help my husband with his start-up Bio Tech business, refinish furniture, knit, crochet, and read. We grab our grandchildren every chance we get and delight in their antics.
Discovering this community has been a great source of fun and support in trying times.I am amazed at the level of talent I see in both the gallery and the products that are offered. It baffles me how little points on a screen can turn into people or trees and move. I'll always be blond I guess!
Thanks for looking.

Superb composition, brilliant awesome render. Exquisite Artwork. I love it!
Try to have the 'automatically refresh textures/images' in the surface tab. If you have an M.2 SSD, have a look at the controller temperatures. If that's too high, stick an adhesive copper passive cooler to both controller and the memory chips on the SSD.
Otherwise it might be as well a faulty service(s) in the OS, faulty HDD or just wrong choices like using hybernation, sleeping disks when not needed and yeah, it might be a bit more difficult to determine the reason your textures don't load properly. It's not always the app fault.

Thanks for the nice comments and the suggestions. Unfortunately nothing worked. It just keeps telling me that it can't find the .jpgs that go with the items in the scene when I reopen it. I've contacted the Daz Help Center but it takes them over 6 weeks to respond to any email. This has been going on since July.

She's looking really sweet, Teri. And she's a sweetie to help showcase other artist's work as well. Great job on this!
Ah, DAZ.... I haven't used it for a good long while. I bought a powerhouse machine just for DS back before I retired with a RTX2080ti GPU. It worked great for a while - it would smoke iRay renders. Then one day I started DAZ and got a "can't find SQL something-or-other (don't remember the exact wording)" and that was it. Hasn't worked since. I do have a couple things I'm going to try after the holidays.
This machine does have M.2 SSDs. I bought an extra 2TB SSD for the D: drive just to keep all my DS stuff on. The C: drive SSD is only 230GB, and Windoze takes up most of that. I'm going to try swapping the SSDs, using the 2TB as the C: drive, reloading Windows, reloading the latest DS version and see what happens. Wish me luck - and I wish you luck as well.
I may try hooking up with my WP_Guru bud, Jay on this as well. He's one massively clever dude!
Yeah, DAZ's "support" leaves LOT to be desired....
