Description
The tall, muscular bald man moved over the top of the escalated moods of dirt and located Dr.Wright standing in the recently clear new dig.
"So what's the plan?" He was already aware of recent happenings. He had worked with Dr.Wright on many expeditions; He knew her well enough to know she would not allow this to happen.
"Quietly inform our people to move half of everything they find to sight delta. But keep it quiet and off the lists." She paused for a moment. "Damned The Federation for trying to steal our work."
"Our barge is still in position at the moon of Belore." He smiled slyly. "We'll start moving things there by might. With no marker lights."
"Excellent." She nodded with approval. "I just hate to lose the sight when we are so close."
"You still believe one or more of them many be operational?" He was curious, but had always trusted her intuition on such matters.
"I can feel it." Her eyes roamed across the dig sight. "She's here, and very close."
"We have six months to locate her then." Baxter drew a heavy breath. "The Federation will have their teams assembled and most likely, here; by that time."
"I know." Dr.Wright chewed her lip thoughtfully. "We'll have to think of some way that we can slow that process down a bit. We need more time." She nodded. "I can start by filing a complaint with the high courts. That may delay them a little, especially if we make a public announcement to the Federation populace at large."
"They won't want that kind of attention."
"Exactly." Dr.Wright nodded with a broad smile.
