About the image
This is my first landscape in Daz Studio, my other landscape images were done using Octane Render. The Elven Monolith set is a very good start but it needed more plants so I added mossy rocks HD and Plants by MartinJFrost. Even using instances I had to hold back and not go crazy adding thousands of rocks and plants, DAZ has different limits that you must respect :) The scene is lighted with the Iray sun but I also used a semi-transparent sky dome with a cloud texture. Although not seen it breaks up the direct sun light and cast shadows onto the scene. For the plants I used a diffuse tint to unify the colors and made use of translucency to bring in the color changes seen when light passes through leaves.
To finish I add this cute character so she can enjoy this pretty spot - I hope you enjoy it too !!!

Oh wow, I took a little break from rendering and the gallery (my muse needed a vacation apparently) and I missed this little gem! I love that you take the time to explain everything you do (even though it all seems very complicated to me lol) and I love the overall feel of this render, it seems peaceful, airy and a good way to start the new year.
