Your image instantly triggered a memory of the 555 foot stairway inside the Washington Monument. It is so much like what you've made, except that the center has an elevator that transports people, surrounded by all the stairs if you're brave enough to attempt it. I thought it would be a lot easier to go down than up, boy, was I wrong. Once you commit, you have to finish. My legs felt like rubber, I was exhausted, even just going down, not up. Never again.
