Chase was preparing a welcome package for the new rookie when he heard a noise coming from outside the station that sounded like a loud unsettling moan. “Leon won't be here for a few more minutes so time to go see what that was”, Chase thought to himself. He had heard the stories of the “Cannibal Killers” roaming around the mountains of Raccoon City and even some reports of them coming into the city. Chase went out the back of the station and toward the parking lot where chief Irons was so cheap he had put down wooden boards so the officers could get to the parking lot without stepping in mud. For whatever reason this part of the parking lot was always muddy. A green glow was cast on Chase from the makeshift bug zapper that Chief Irons made himself. It hung from an old light post outside the police station near where the cars were parked and was designed not to fry the insects like traditional bug zappers do, but just incapacity them so he could place them in a frame and hang them on his wall in his office. Chief Irons was so weird not to mention a real jerk. There were crows flying around and a few landed on the ground. They had a strange call to them and there was something odd about their look when Chase saw something dart between the police cars. Chase quickly drew his gun and shouted “Police, stay where you are with your hands up!”. Chase couldn't help but notice he heard that loud moan again, except this time it was coming from behind him... Thank you for taking a look at my work.
