well leave it to barb to know the name of this beauty. (Hot lips? Lol, what a great name.) Salvia comes from the same word-root as "salvation"---meaning "healing". But you know what? These two flowers look like 2 love birds! They're gorgeous. Once again you've captured flowers with both detail and softness...and the reds are almost infrared---they seem to be jumping off the page. A lovely photo with real luminosity. ANd "hot lips salvia" sounds like the name of a barmaid character from an old Western! Beautiful capture of the nearly cottony feel of this beautiful flower...
