Description

I showed movies on the weekends and cleaned campus buildings while a student. one Friday there were 4 reels and were not in order. I showed #1, #2, #4 and realized I missed #3. no one complained, so I ran #3. I think the movie was "To sir with love". Mr. Sidney Poitier made ground breaking progress enabling many African Americans to have a chance to be in movies.

Sidney Poitier was a Bahamian-American actor, film director, and ambassador. In 1964, he was the first black person and first Bahamian to win the Academy Award for Best Actor. He also received two competitive Golden Globe Awards, a competitive British Academy of Film and Television Arts, and a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album. Wikipedia
