This is so subtle and tongue-in-cheek, and yet it's very dark and serious. I love that she's holding zlata---right? I mean it looks like zlata. And zlata looks up at the woman curiously, but lovingly. The woman, on the other hand, truly is obsessed: She stares back as if she's just found an alien from another planet. (Eeee-Teeeee....) Great light from below, and that red dress is really striking in the dark. With one of your usual creepy backgrounds, with broken windows, cobwebs, and old books, candles, etc. I picture zlata saying, "you're a nice person, but just a litttttttttle creepy..." Beautifully done.
