Welcome to My Gallery
I am some what new to Daz3d but have been enjoying very much. I have always loved art since a young child. A pad of paper and a pencil and I'd be quiet for hours. I'll always remember thinking I was going to draw for Disney when I grow up. LOL
I was born in Flint, Michigan back in June of 1965 and raised in a small town called Otisville. It will always be home to me. I have traveled alot over the years living in Fl,Calf.Ny,Conn. But i am back in Michigan for now at least. One more year of college for my degree in Radiology Tech. I work full time but try to vol. at the hospitol when I can.
I look forward to meeting new people and checking out everyone else's art as well. Please fell free to leave tips, comments and anything else you would like to share. I'll try to post as often as I can, but only if it is worthy of sharing the space of all this other great art work.Â
I wish everyone the best and want to thank you again for visiting my pages.Â

Nice depth of field effect. Your image looks like a photo made with telephoto lens.

Very nice scene! The wolf is incredibly so realistic! The dof, the light (not easy with predominant white), the rendering... All perfect!

In the first instance I thought it might be a picture. I love how you've created this, in a way, sweet scene, the focus is great, with the kind of branches in front on the right and the soft blurred background.

This has an excellent quality - I am HAPPY that it is not hyperrealism, because when it's indistinguishable from a photograph, viewers may just think it's a nice capture, missing all the detailed work it takes to create an image like this. If this were to be animated the effect would be triple-fold and thereby a huge success as an art-piece. In my opinion, hyperrealism serves two main purposes, to deceive, or rather, "trick" the viewer. Like when you can't spend $100-million for constructing the Roman Coliseum. The other great use is for educational purposes, like depicting extinct or elusive animals, and there are no photographs. We've all seen scenes in movies that we had no idea wasn't real. And that's amazing, plus it brings us imagery that we wouldn't otherwise have on the big screen. We are very close to digital imagery being indistinguishable from digital photography/cinematography...and that's a little concerning when we have to worry about Visual Propaganda.
IN short, DavidVantol has create the perfect image in my mind - all the realism you need, and plenty of really deft, detailed craftwork to make one marvel. Hat's off to this artist!

Wow! I am so humbled by such kind words. I want to thank you for viewing my work and taking the time to comment. I don't do many realism images. The DOF and lighting in my opinion is what really makes this image work. Yes there was some post work, but the base image pretty much fell into my lap. After all these years, I'm still learning that I have only scratched the surface at what Daz can do. This was a fun and learning experiment and I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Thanks once again so much for you kind words! Best wishes Dave : )
