Description

I really enjoy Purdon's work. My work usually involves gnashing teeth. But, I picked up a spaceship kit and was inspired to build my own ship. This is the Star Ship Mary Whether. NCC-3804. Not a cruiser or battleship. Just a tug to transport supplies and colonists to habitable planets. Not fast. Max speed is nine tenths light speed. But with subspace relays providing some very delayed communications and a repairing hibernation system, the trip is manageable. Crew of 37. Most stay in hibernation unless on duty. With round trips lasting decades, the crew are very close. In this image, there is the bridge, Crew quarters. Two shuttles (No transporters in this universe). A geodesic rec room. Two fuel tanks with ship name and designation. Four engines. She is attached to a frame carrier with fuel tanks in the middle and six more engines in the rear (not in the shot). Her current mission is to transport 3000 colonists to a distant planet. Each of 3 of the frames have 1000 colonists in hibernation. The other 3 frames are supplies to start a colony.
