Description
She had made a radical choice, almost jumping into the water. Abandoning any mechanical object, she had decided to transcribe her texts with a brush following the ancestral fashion. She now felt in full possession of her faculties, the well-being of her body made her cheongsam ripple to the rhythm of the waves. It was time, the sign on the canvas was disappearing and her boat was taking on water. She had placed her trust in the light that guided her.

I believe I've said all I can about the powerful impression these images make. Any one of them individually is successful in conveying something significant about the interaction of inspiration, art and the artist. Taken as a whole the story told is mystical and compelling. The light and expression combine to great effect, conveying both serenity and focus; she's made her choice and is now completely committed to her course of action.
Beautiful composition and textures too; the silk of the cheongsam has a marvellous tactile quality.
